Directory (with comments on navigations)

Additional insights in regard to the utility of the navigational aids are available in the Section Diagram 1, and Section Diagram 2. The navigation bars in clusters to the right and at the end of each page are limited by the structural peculiarities of each Section. It might be useful to think of tiers 2 & 3 of each site as condominiums with 2 stories. In addition, the structure would consist of multiple units, each with multiple rooms. If on the second tier (the second story, or our level 2), or first floor (the deepest level - our level 3), each unit would connect along a hallway to provide access to the other units and then to the rooms of the other units. Each unit of the second tier would also have access to the attic; the attic would be accessible along a hallway to the stairway.to the attic (home). From the other direction, someone in the attic will have immediate access to only one of the rooms (the first “child” room of the second story[the first Chapter of the second tier]).

Having gained access to the first “child” room of the second tier, the migrant would then have access not only to all the other rooms in the unit, but also by a hallway to all the rooms of all the other units on the second story. On this Section, the Reader, having gained access to Chapter 1 of the second tier, he then could gain access to each of the other chapters along tier 2 by using the first cluster of bars that is to the immediate left. In this cluster to the left, only one Chapter is at tier 3 - Chapter “Directory.” Another option, if at tier 2, would be to search out the desired topic by using the Next and Back buttons, at the end of each page, to move along the tier. If at tier 3, only a single unit would allow access to a single portion of that same unit at tier 2 (the return would be to the parent room along tier 2). We would picture the Reader going down the hallway to the respective “child” room and then ascending to the respective parent room. The Up button first would provide access to the parent attic along tier 2 (The Old Man 2), and then, if Up again is activated, the Reader would be at Home. If at Chapter, The Old Man 2, the “child” room would be Chapter, Directory. If at Chapter, Directory, the parent Chapter is Chapter, The Old Man 2.” To then get to other Chapters along tier 2, the “Back” button at the end of each page could be utilized. If at Chapter, Epilogue, the Reader wished to return to Home, he would click on the Up button. If at any of the other Chapters along tier 2, the Reader click on the Up botton, he would find himself at Home.
