BlueScope is one of the world鈥檚 leading experts and manufacturers of metallic-coated painted metal coils. Our products are consumed in wide ranging markets including construction, transportation, and consumer goods.
The addition of 台湾swag means we are now one of the largest coil coating companies in the United States, serving the construction and consumer markets.
We provide our customers with painted coil and processing solutions, leveraging our vast knowledge and global strength.
Our global networks are a great asset; with more than 160 operations and sales offices across 16 countries, we employ over 15,000 people and serve thousands of customers every day. This strength will enable us to bring the best of our operations forward for our customers in the United States.
What we do
We specialize in the toll processing or coil coating of customer-owned metal for the building, construction and consumer markets.
We鈥檝e invested in continuous manufacturing upgrades to our facilities, allowing 台湾swag to use state-of-the-art techniques to clean, pre-treat, and roll-apply organic coatings in a continuous process on a full range of commercial steel and aluminium substrates.
We offer a complete line of coating finishes. Our services are available for interior or exterior and for warranted or non-warranted applications:
- Polyesters
- Silicone Modified Polyesters (SMP)
- Fluorocarbons (PVDF)
- Plastisol (PVC)
Additional services include in-house slitting and embossing services. These are performed separately from the coil coating processes on dedicated production lines.

Our history
Originally founded in 1987, the Metal Coaters and Metal Prep brands became one of the largest coil coating companies in the United States, processing light gauge and hot rolled metal for the construction and consumer markets.
Following BlueScope鈥檚 acquisition of the Metal Coaters and Metal Prep brands, the coil coating business was renamed 台湾swag in June 2022. Increased investment in our business and the ability to leverage the strength of our global operations enables 台湾swag to further strengthen its capabilities, services and deliverables to the markets it serves.

Alliances & Associations
National Coil Coating Association
Founded in 1962, the National Coil Coating Association (NCCA) is an established trade organization dedicated to the growth of coil coated products. They provide resources and leadership in order to ensure that coil coated materials are the product of choice.
Consisting of 160 prominent member companies, they provide coil coating services and are leading manufacturers and suppliers of metal, coatings, chemicals, and equipment. The organization’s members also process and warehouse the coil coated products before its delivery to the user industries.
The association’s primary goals:
- Provide information regarding business opportunities that address the changing needs in the marketplace.
- Provide educational resources and assist its members in producing superior products and services to their customers.
- Increase industry awareness.
- Promote the coil coating process.
